Premium Yellow Brick sand is known as a fatty sand because of its clay content.  The clay gives the sand more3 body and helps mortar (which is made from mixing Brick sand, cement and lime) stick to bricks when laying them. 
Premium Yellow Brick sand is generally a dark, orange colour.
