Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula Alba' - Weeping Cherry Alba is a delightful small weeping tree providing a prolific early spring display of white flowers before the leaves appear. Suitable as a feature tree in gardens and small parks.

Growth rate: Moderate to fast.

Form: Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula Alba' - Weeping Cherry Alba  is strongly weeping, spreading small tree. Propagated onto an approximate one or 1.75 metre 'standard'. 

Foliage: Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula Alba' - Weeping Cherry Alba  have lustrous dark green, up to 10 cm long with finely serrate margins. 

Flowers: Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula Alba' - Weeping Cherry Alba  have single, white flowers to 1.3 cm diameter, opening early to mid-spring in two to five flowered umbels. 

Bark: Brownish-grey with many lenticels.

Tolerances: Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula Alba' - Weeping Cherry Alba  is quite adaptable to varied site conditions, but prefers moist, well drained fertile soils and a position receiving full sun to part-shade. Flowers best in full sun.
