Evergreen, large shrub or small spreading tree with glossy, dark green leaves.  Slender spikes of small, fragrant white flowers are borne in early summer and are followed by fleshy berries. Ideal for hedging and screening.  Good for topiary.  Grow in a sunny to partly shaded site in well drained soil.  Tolerates regular pruning and frost and dry spells once established.  Water after planting until established.
