A wonderful, dwarf form of NZ flax with elegantly arching, very dark purplish-black, sword-shaped foliage. Large, eye-catching, bronzy-red flower spikes are produced on mature clumps and attract native birds. Use as accent plantings, around water features, in containers and difficult sites. A hardy plant, which tolerates most soils and conditions. Grows best in moist, sunny sites. Remove spent leaves and divide when necessary. Feed regularly to enhance foliage colour.
