Fast growing, evergreen tree with glossy foliage. In spring, clusters of very fragrant, cream flowers that age to a golden yellow are displayed.  Ideal for large gardens, parks and street trees.  Useful tub specimen when young.  Flowers best when grown in an open site but will tolerate some shade. Protect young trees from frost.  Benefits from watering during extended dry periods.  Pruning after flowering can promote a compact habit.  Old plants can be rejuvenated by heavy pruning into old wood.
