Compact evergreen that forms rosettes of leaves.  In autumn, heads of purple and white papery flowers are borne on tall stems.  Ideal for cutting and drying.  Perfect low maintenance addition to garden beds, containers and coastal sites.  Grow in a sunny, frost-free position in moist, well drained soil enriched with organic matter.  Fertilise in spring and remove spent flower heads.
