The Golden Cane Palm is grown as an ornamental plant in gardens in tropical and subtropical regions and elsewhere indoors.  It is also referred to as the "butterfly palm" due to its leaves which curve upwards in multiple stems. A natural yellow color clustering trunked plant that is feather-leaved.  The root system is non-invasive, making it good around houses or pools for privacy or screening.  The Golden Cane can grow to 4-5 metres and is an unarmed palm (no spikes or spines) making it easy to move and handle.  It must be protected from cold, such as under a patio.  It is quite drought tolerant.
