Rubus fruticosus
 
A sweet juicy fruit in summer and no spiky thorns. 
Remove old canes in winter. Protect fruit from extreme heat and ensure adequate water while fruit develops. Pick fruit when fully ripe for maximum sweetness.  Prefers full sun to part shade.
